john,
great pr table! reading your "story" it seems you lost a bit of weight on the way.
just out of curiosity, can you add a body weight column?

I put the weights in for the marathons best I can remember - pretty close.

Also - for indication on general health benefits - a couple health checks at work. Two years ago I had already started the journey and had logged about 300 miles before this test (3/2006) (minimal running the prior 20 years or so) including my first marathon vs 3/2008 up to about 5000 miles. Generally I would say my diet is not very much improved - maybe a little - I still eat out probably 1/2 my meals and most of those are fast food - so improvements I think are more from the exersize. I tend to use the excuse a lot that I can eat whatever I want since I'm burning so much calories

.................2006 / 2008
BMI 27 / 22.5
Waste 37.25" / 31" (with a couple wardrobe changes)
Triglycerides 129 / 61
Total Cholesterol 229 / 180
Good Cholesterol 52 / 64
Bad Cholesterol 151 / 105

john,
great weight loss data...i have an engineering degree as well, so i know its all about the numbers. also much easier to run w/o the extra 35 lbs (i have gone from 205 to 175 in the last year)....after a 3h19 first marathon i am trying to get sub 3 in the next year, so your progress has been very encouraging! thanks for posting your running life.
